Welcome to my website :o)
Hello! Thank you for visiting. Above you will find links to my hobby and craft sites, as well as a page with songs I am currently working on for either of my two albums. Below is a really rough live recording of "Lightning" written for someone very special to me. I have also added some great pictures of past family photo moments. Although our dynamics have changed, we are all committed to achieving harmony (no pun intended :o) Finally, I have added a link below to Paul's website, "DillingerMusical.com." The shows future is gaining momentum and we are all really excited about its progress.
Please feel free to view the pictures, listen to my music, peruse the baubles (soon to be augmented with additional photos and options), and email me with your comments, questions, and well wishes.
I currently live in California with my beautiful daughter, near my funny, wonderful sons. I am learning to play the guitar so I am not FABULOUS at it yet, but I AM a fabulous bowler, an okay pool player, a terrific swimmer and a great seamstress. I love to write and to sing, I’m COMPETITIVE, I hate to drive, I laugh too loud and talk too much, and I don’t like to cook (I can, I just don't like to). I love to dance. I am weak. I am hungry. I make mistakes. I accept others and desire acceptance in return. I am loving and mostly kind, always cheerful, seldom judgmental. I have standards by which I examine myself. I don’t like to be alone. I have a potty mouth (I am really good with language, lol). I am sometimes afraid of the dark, both the seen and the not seen. I love my God and He loves me, regardless of my foibles, virtues or mistakes. I pray. I play some instruments, and I enjoy movies, be they at the theater or at home curled up on the couch. I am an optimist, a believer in things not seen, a lover of learning, and I am always writing a song in my head, although I probably won't ever sing the lyrics correctly (I am lyrically challenged).
This past year has been long and hard, but a season of intense growth. I have gained insight into myself, as well as those around me-some of it disappointing, some of it surprisingly optimistic. I've learned how very much I love my family-my brother and sisters, my mom, and my children. I've learned what a true friend is, and what it is to have the "reachers" and the "grabbers" as "friends," who unfailingly show themselves for who and what they are (and aren't).
The most important life lesson learned for me in 2011 was that there are those who can admit their faults and their mistakes-who can ask forgiveness, accept the consequences of their actions, and move on, and there are those who cling to pride and fantasy at the expense of happiness and love. I am content knowing I am in the former, and feel desperately sorry for those who haven't begun to understand they have chosen the latter.
"Life is short" makes so much more sense to me now...guess that puts me firmly on the "other side of the hill." :o)
